I found Debbie Olsen's blog Thinking Inking through Rochelle Wick's blog. I was checking out Rochelle's stuff from an e-mail she sent to our yahoo group. She had a list of blogs that she had visited, I just started clicking, and there it was Thinking Inking. WOW!!! Debbie is a wonderful artist, I love her work. I have cased several of her designs, some as exactly as I could and some color combos or lay outs with other stamp sets. She has much the same taste that I do in colors and stamp sets. I guess this is why I love her work so much. The three cards pictured are my "Ode to Debbie Olsen".
The square card is a case as closely as I could she had much prettier ribbon and put hers on a white card base. I made two of these one for me and one for a congratulations card for my favorite scarp book store's second anniversary. It has been the talk of the store for a while now. They could have sold a ton of background paper if it had been theirs. I have gotten a couple of phone calls about this card. I wish it had been a Farenholtz original. I have told everyone where I got the case. In case you don't know CASE stands for Copy And Steal Everything.
The long card is another case as closely as I could. I made this card to fit in a business size envelope and had to do a little adjusting to make it look right and I changed a large colored brad for a jewel.
The quarter fold card is a color combo and layout that Debbie did for another stamp set. I used my doodle sets and again changed the ribbon.
I do love her work! I hope you enjoy it too.
